Nostalgia

As I think I mentioned in class I thought the play on memory by use of the description not aligning with the image interesting. Memory is a mental construction that is usually not entirely accurate, in contrast a photograph is unbiased and has no emotional quality into itself but can trigger memories of time past. Although I can watch embers burn at a campfire for hours, I do not feel the same way about watching it on the screen. Possible because it is leaving out the other sensory inputs that create the experience.
